U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx to Speak at Rural Assembly

We are pleased to announce that U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx will deliver a keynote address at the 2015 National Rural Assembly in Washington, D.C.

This year’s Assembly will focus on Building an Inclusive Nation — All the People, All the Places— and we know that transportation policy directly affects every aspect of rural life, including community livability, economic development, access to education and health care, jobs, and other services.

The Rural Transportation Policy Group of the National Rural Assembly has outlined principles and recommendations for stronger rural transportation policy.

Join us for Secretary Foxx’s address on September 10 and for the entire day of rural advocacy that follows.

If you haven’t registered for the National Rural Assembly, you can do that here.

Don’t forget that August 21 is the deadline to reserve a hotel room at special rates. Scholarships will be available until the funds are exhausted.
