Western rural leaders head to Washington

Rural conservation and community development leaders from Western states are in Washington, D.C., April 17-22, 2010, to discuss federal policy. You can follow their trip through a blog.

Twenty-eight organizations are represented in this year’s Western Week in Washington, the annual sojourn of members of the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition. The coalition is comprised of Western rural residents and local, regional, and national organizations that have joined forces to promote balanced conservation-based approaches to ecological and economic problems facing the West.

RVCC is a member of the National Rural Assembly’s steering committee and helped guide the development of the Assembly’s principle of Stewardship of Natural Resources.
