Unpacking Food and Ag Reporting | Rural Journalism Collective

Tuesday, March 21, 2023 | 2 - 3:30 p.m. EST

Join the Rural Assembly and Daily Yonder for a livestream discussion with three leading rural journalists about rural agriculture coverage. Learn more below and register to join the conversation.

When people think “rural” they often think food and agriculture. But just like rural communities are much more than agriculture, agriculture itself is a lot more than cows and corn.

Join us for a virtual discussion about reporting on rural topics, this time focused on food and agriculture, featuring

* Chris Clayton, ag policy editor for Progressive Farmer

* Claire Carlson, staff correspondent at the Daily Yonder

* Tom Philpott, former food and ag correspondent for Mother Jones

They’ll chat together and with attendees about the food and ag stories and issues we should be paying attention to, how they approach this beat, and the way food production and consumption influences many aspects of rural life, and more.

This virtual event is free and open to the public — register below!
