The Rural Policy Leadership Institute Energizing the Rural Policy Voice

The convening begins the evening of April 8th and runs through the 10th

Join us in Dallas, TX where we will:

  • Address specific policy issues affecting our rural communities using the “Strategic Doing framework
  • Build upon and generate action plans between active people and organizations who are pursuing the same rural policy goals and sound policy change
  • Learn from one another about what works to advance rural policy
  • Strengthen relationships, expand networks, maximize connections, as we support cross-network and multi-organization policy initiatives

The Rural Policy Leadership Institute is presented by the Rural People, Rural Policy (RPRP) family of networks and endorsed by the National Rural Assembly. The seven RPRP networks are; the Central Appalachia Regional Network, Great Plains Rural Policy Network, Michigan Rural Council, Mid-South Network, National Alliance for Rural Policy, Networks United for Rural Voice and the Southwest Rural Policy Network.

In 2020, Maureen and her friend Kristin Stoltz were awarded an NEA grant for a project titled “Arts for a Prairie Seas: Farming Fluxus.”
