Are you ready for the National Rural Assembly?

Thank you for registering for the June 2013 National Rural Assembly.  We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, June 23, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

We’d like to make you aware of some last minute details and reminders:

Location & Transportation
Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
5701 Marinelli Road · North Bethesda, Maryland 20852
Travel information can be found here.

Meeting Program
Please check our meeting program for start and end times for all plenaries and breakouts.  Cabinet Secretaries will speak on Tuesday, June 25.  White House Rural Council breakout sessions will take place on Wednesday, June 26.

All meals will be provided at the conference center EXCEPT dinner on Monday and Tuesday nights.  We encourage individuals and groups to sign up for a Dine-Around experience while you’re in town.  We’ve asked our local friends in Bethesda to recommend a diverse selection of restaurants, and we’ve gone ahead and made reservations for 8-10 people at each location.  You may sign-up for a dining experience throughout the day at the registration/information booth in Foyer A-C on Monday and Tuesday.

Website & Online Engagement
The Rural Assembly website will be the primary location for conference materials throughout our 3 days together.  Live streaming will also occur on the Assembly website.  Other sources will include the Daily Yonder, which will offer regular reporting and blog posts about the Assembly and our Facebook and Twitter feeds.  Check out social media at the Assembly.

Young Professionals Leadership Training

Young Professionals Leadership Training participants will meet all-day on Sunday, starting with breakfast in Glen Echo Room at 8:30am.  Don’t forget to do your light “homework!”  If you missed the webinars with facilitator Matt Lewis, you can listen to a recording here.
