The organizers of the Midwest Rural Assembly have announced the dates for the second convening of this rural advocacy network.
The event will be August 16-17, 2010, in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
Last year's Midwest Rural Assembly attracted 170 participants from across the region to discuss critical issues confronting the MidwestThe conference focused on the four principles of the National Rural Assembly and identifiedpriorities, policies, and actions that participants could pursue in support of the conference's goal of "cultivating a stronger rural America."
Twenty regional and national organizations were involved in planning and producing the two-day conference in 2009.
